Apparel is not traditionally a canvas for scientific inquiry. Future Sensitive™ creates science-focused, technologically-driven prototypes with the insight and optimism of a humanist. Through worldbuilding apparel, everyday encounters become opportunities to discuss how advanced technologies will sculpt the future.

Over the last decade science-fiction artist Lucy McRae has been creating costumes alongside soft sculpture and film. Future Sensitive™ continues Lucy’s worldbuilding capacities through the lens of apparel, developing body worn statements to facilitate new types of future.

An interdisciplinary conversation between fashion, art and science, Future Sensitive™ engages a wider audience offering new voices and perspectives to what we typically call ‘science’ and ‘tech’.
